‘Creating awareness on e-waste’ - Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India
NASSCOM Foundation has been awarded a project on ‘Creating awareness on e-waste’ from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India.
The project aims at creating awareness for 8 specified stakeholder groups in 10 cities across the country. These stakeholder groups are:
3. RWAs and Localities
4. Bulk Consumers
7. Informal sector
The awareness programme will be carried out in the following cities as specified in the contract for one year.
These cities are:
The five year programme will be further implemented in all states across the country subsequently.
In order to ensure the success of the programme, it is important that all stakeholders across these cities are mapped and resources allocated to create awareness achieve maximum impact. The overall awareness programme has 9 workshops and 18 activities which are to be conducted in each of these cities across the 8 stakeholders mentioned above. Total number of people to be trained in each city is 5400
NASSCOM Foundation has partnered with MAIT and CEAMA (Industry association) for implementation of the project. These organisations have the experience of working with certain sets of stakeholders who are the target group and likely to bring their expertise in delivering the awareness programme.
Organisations interested to partner with NASSCOM Foundation at the above mentioned 10 cities have to fill the form completely and submit the same. Last date for submission is Tuesday 10th January 2017 12.00 pm.
